The City of Independence partners with the Ennovation Center, a non-profit business development incubator.
The organization provides many things for burgeoning entrepreneurs, including guidance with business and marketing plans, assistance in obtaining all necessary permits and licenses, and a financial business coach.
History:
After the closure of Independence Regional Hospital in 2007, the City of Independence, the Independence Economic Development Council, the Independence School District, and community leaders had the idea to repurpose the building into a business incubator providing resources to help entrepreneurs and small businesses grow.
The Ennovation Center opened its doors in 2010 and has provided mentorship, resources, education, and collaboration to more than 500 businesses.
The 28,000+ square foot center is located at 201 North Forest Avenue, Suite 120, Independence, MO 64050.
