City of Independence announces Chief of Police Community Night to introduce candidates on July 27
The City of Independence will welcome Police Chief Candidates to the City of Independence on July 27 and encourages members of the community to join them at the Independence Uptown Market, 211 W. Truman Rd., from 6-8 p.m.
“The selection of our next Chief of Police is a tremendous decision for our community, and it is very important to us that we give our residents the opportunity to share their thoughts on the final candidates before a decision is made,” City Manager Zach Walker said. “Residents will have the opportunity to ask the candidates questions and rate their experience.”
This event is does not have a formal schedule, allowing residents to drop-in as their time allows, and leave once they’ve met all of the candidates.
