It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we come together as a community to mourn the tragic loss of Independence Police Officer Cody Allen and Circuit Court process server Drexel Mack. Today, our city grieves the passing of two dedicated guardians and public servants.

Officer Allen exemplified the very best of our police force, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our community. His bravery and dedication will forever be remembered, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
