Senior Center Month Kick-Off Tuesday, 9/5 at 12:15 p.m. 

Help us kick off Senior Center Month with a bang. We have a variety of fun activities and a chance to win a BBQ dinner. Co-Sponsored by USA Senior Healthcare.

Chiefs Rally Thursday, 9/7 at 12:15 p.m. 

Celebrate the start of football season with a Chiefs rally. 

Covid Vaccination Clinic Thursday, 9/7 from 9:30-11:15 a.m. 

Are you due for a COVID Vaccination? Free vaccinations will be given by the Independence Health Department.

 Soda Pop and Paint Friday, 9/8 at 12:30 p.m. 

Paint while sipping a nice cold pop! Co-sponsored by The Fountains of Greenbriar.

Pantry BINGO Thursday, 9/14 at 12:30 p.m. 

Play Bingo for canned goods and shelf-stable items. Cosponsored by Humana.

Cover to Cover Thursday, 9/21 at 2:00 p.m. 

Cover to Cover is a book club for adults 60+. Books are available from the Mid-Continent Public Library North Independence Branch. Book selection for September reading: The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead. Coordinator: Peggy Blumberg.

Renaissance Fair Friday, 9/22 from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 

Step back in time and join in for a morning of Renfest fun with a Crown Craft at 9 a.m., Renaissance Music at 10:30 a.m., and a Costume Contest at 11:15 a.m. Huzzah!

Genealogy Center Presentation Monday, 9/25 at 12:15 p.m. 

Learn about one of the top Genealogy Centers in the country and how to use its resources to research your family history.

Senior Center Carnival Monday, 9/25 at 9:30 a.m. 

Enjoy a fun morning of carnival activities and snacks.

Homecoming Dance—Reflections Wednesday, 9/27 at 2:00 p.m. 

Come for music, light refreshments, and photo opportunities.

Small Basket Weaving Friday, 9/29 at 12:15 p.m. 

Learn to weave and make a small basket for holding keys, glasses, or other small items.

Autumn Adventure Visit Miller’s Pecan Farm and Peter’s Apple Market, Thursday 10/12 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.   

A delicious lunch is included (entrée: roasted chicken). Deadline to pre-register: 9/8 Price: $78
